VAV is a type of heating, cooling and ventilation system solution. Unlike constant air volume (CAV) systems, which supply a constant airflow at a varying temperature, VAV systems vary the airflow at a constant temperature.
ERVs exchange the moisture and heat that is contained in normally exhausted buildings or space air and use it to treat (precondition) the incoming outdoor ventilation air in residential and commercial HVAC systems.
BAS strategies are used to control and automate a building's heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting and other systems to minimize energy consumption and ensure optimal building performance.

Angie has been with Nova Scotia Power since 2017 and has worked with hundreds of commercial and industrial customers on their energy projects during this time. She likes to think of herself as her customers' "Easy Button”, since she's dedicated to helping them navigate the detailed electrification process. Angie received her MBA from St. Mary's University and her undergrad from Dalhousie University.
Chris Ewoh, Internal Sales Lead
Chris has over 13 years of sales experience, and works with numerous builders and heat pump contractors on the Nova Scotia Power Preferred Contractor Network to provide efficient solutions to customers. Chris holds a Higher National Diploma in Marketing and a Postgraduate Diploma in Data Analytics, and is a registered member of the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) of Canada.
Chris Somers, Commercial Solutions Advisor
Chris has over 10 years of experience helping businesses implement customized energy solutions. Since joining Nova Scotia Power in 2018, he’s helped hundreds of business customers evaluate and implement efficient energy options that increase comfort, reduce carbon footprint, and provide financial savings. He also engages with new commercial builds, elevating their experience from project concept to project completion.
Jaswinder Singh, Key Account Manager
Jaswinder has over 15 years of experience in key account management and specialized in developing customized solutions for his clients that drive business growth. With a background in electronics and ecommerce, he excels in understanding client needs and delivering initiatives to help improve operational efficiency. Jaswinder's tailored strategies consistently address challenges, support business objectives, and build lasting partnerships based on trust and mutual success.
Jevin MacLellan, Key Account Manager
With over 10 years in the regulated utility and HVAC sales industries, Jevin uses his experience to educate and assist large customers with their unique energy goals and challenges. Jevin has a particular interest in emerging market technologies, and takes pride in offering solutions that help customers save on their operational costs, while also reducing their environmental footprint. Jevin received his MBA from St. Mary’s University and undergrad from St. FX University.

Experienced in the utility, technology, and creative industries, Keith has proven himself an asset in the areas energy, telecommunications, media, and mobile app development. He’s dedicated to exceeding customer expectations, and his focus on innovation and bridge-building ensure he always gets the job done.
Marc Rossignol, Key Account Manager
A mechanical engineer-in-training at Nova Scotia Power, Marc is committed to solving his clients’ most pressing challenges. His experience ranges from industrial production and facility management to commercial and industrial HVAC sales and account management. He is the current Research Promotion Chair and a Past President, and has volunteered with ASHRAE Halifax for 7 years now.
Mitch Spence, Key Account Manager
Mitch is a professional engineer with over eight years experience in project and energy management. He specializes in guiding businesses through electrification, making complex transitions easy to understand and implement. Mitch delivers on commitments and ensures customers feel confident and well-supported throughout the process.
Steve McDougall, Manager - Key Accounts & Commercial Solutions
With over 15 years of mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems experience in the utilities industry, Steve helps customers navigate the complexities of selecting an energy portfolio for their business. He educates customers on the energy innovations and emerging technologies that are creating new ways for customers to increase energy resiliency, reduce their environmental footprint, and save on energy costs.
Vernelle Johnson, Customer Success Manager
With over 5 years' experience in account management, Vernelle specializes in sales, real estate, and relationship building. Having overseen both retail and commercial clients in his previous role with BMO, he brings a tailored approach to address client concerns while delivering exceptional value. Vernelle holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Dalhousie University and received his undergrad from UPEI.
