Pronouns
You’ve landed on this page because a Nova Scotia Power employee included their pronouns in their corporate email signature. Below is an explanation as to why sharing pronouns is an important step towards inclusivity and an easy way to show your support.
While many have never been questioned about their gender, choosing to share your pronouns helps to clearly signal to others that you respect gender identity. It’s also a helpful way to avoid mistakenly assuming a person’s gender – or misgendering.
Common pronouns include She/Her, He/Him, and They/Them.
At Nova Scotia Power, we encourage our employees to consider adding pronouns to their corporate email signature. Doing so shows our support as allies for our diverse communities both inside and outside our organization.
We know that demonstrating our support matters, and that building an inclusive and diverse culture is about making changes to ensure that everyone feels welcomed, respected and safe, every day.
