Marie MacLean
Vice President, Power Production and Energy & Risk
Marie Maclean is the Vice President of Power Production and Energy & Risk for Nova Scotia Power. She is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Nova Scotia, holding a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Technical University of Nova Scotia and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics from Dalhousie University.
Marie grew up in Halifax and has worked in the energy sector for more than 35 years, starting out as an Environmental Engineer with Nova Scotia Power. Her focus has included power plant operations where she progressed to Plant Manager at the Trenton and Point Tupper Generating Stations, followed by commercial and regulatory sides of the business where she became Senior Director, Energy and Risk Management. In 2025, Marie assumed her current role of Vice President of Power Production and Energy & Risk.
